AA Timetable from July-August 2002?

Hi Anet,

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have access to an American Airlines timetable from late July / early August 2002? I'm trying to track down what kinds of planes I flew on on the following routes:

End of 7/2002: PHL-ORD / ORD-PHL
Beginning of 8/2002: CUN-MIA / MIA-PHL

Thanks!

Re: TWA 747 Interiors (1995-1998) Questions

Hey there!

My dad was a TWA L-1011 and B747 FE exactly during this time, and we have several pictures of the interiors of both airplanes. Shoot me a PM and I can send them over! (or explain to me how to post them here :) )

Water Cannon Salute JFK 4/14/19

Hello Anet fans! On Sunday 4/14/19, my dad flew his final flight as an airline pilot after 31 years with JetBlue and TWA as he taxied JetBlue's Flight 16, an A321 from SFO, into gate 26 at JFK. Upon taxiing into the JetBlue ramp, he received a water cannon salute by the JFK CFR team. I know this is ...

Re: Use of PHL Runway 17/35

Usually (I'd say over 95% of the time), PHL is west-flow. In this configuration, 27L is used for nearly all departures and 27R is used for most arrivals. However, 35 is indeed also used by a good number of arrivals. 35 arrivals are usually by the RJs that park at Terminal F (which is located close t...

Re: LAX TWA Ambassador (retired captain)

That would be Captain Randy Kramer, a TWA legend! I never met him, but my dad (a TWA pilot) would tell me how every time they parked at LAX, the door would open up and Captain Kramer would be there in his sharp, crisp, perfectly-pressed Captain's uniform to greet everyone. Randy retired in the mid 1...

Re: How Long Did It Take American to Retire the TWA Brand?

I feel like the TWA-AA merger was accomplished much more quickly than the more recent ones (DL/NW, UA/CO, and US/AA), even if you take into account the difference in sizes of the airlines involved. The acquisition of TWA by American was announced in mid-April 2001, and just under 8 months later on D...

Re: AA Timetable Summer 2002 Look-Up

If anyone has access to an American Airlines timetable from summer 2002 (namely July 29), I'm looking to see what aircraft were used from Cancun to Miami. I just found my old boarding pass from my Miami-Philadelphia leg, which was the 2nd leg of the trip, and that departed at 730pm, so the CUN-MIA ...

Re: DL 717-200 Pilots... Where did they come from?

Disclaimer: this is going to get a tad long-winded, but hopefully it answers your question as well as some others: As others have stated, everything within a pilot's life at an airline is based on seniority. Airplanes, bases, routes, days off, etc. The #1 guy at the company can bid whatever he wants...

Photo Search Page Setup and Results

Hi Anet, I first posted about this back at the beginning of the new site changeover, and while it did gather support from Crew and others, I haven't seen any changes. What I'm about to write details why, to my great sadness, airliners.net has moved from the top to the bottom of my list of preferred ...

Re: AA 757 go-around at Saint Maarten

Agree. The go around isn't really scary. But what I am curious about is that I don't believe SXM has an ILS and this seems pretty low visibility for Visual Approach. You're correct that SXM does not have an ILS. However, although ILSs provide pilots with the lowest minimums, they're not the only ki...

FlightSim 2004 Default RW Weather Stuck & Other Question

Hi guys, Yes I still use FS2004. I've spent the last decade modding it and customizing my AI that it's too far gone now to start over with a newer sim. Plus, as a real-world USAF pilot, I'm not as concerned with the poorer ground graphics of the sim as I'll get that in real life. Cool! now that that...

FS2004 Payware Opinions: A320, 757, 767, MD80

Hi everyone, Just hunting for some opinions on FS2004 payware aircraft: A320, B757, B767, MD-80. I did a search but the threads I found were several years old by now. Not looking to break the bank; also not looking for something that will take 45 minutes to preflight and get into the air. I'm a real...

FS2004 Weather Question

Hi all, (Hopefully) a quick question about Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2004's weather: I've noticed that if you're on approach for an airport that is reporting, for example, an overcast ceiling at 200ft, you will still see the airport almost-perfectly fine when you're above about 200', and then onl...

Complexity/Confusion with Photo Search

Hi all, So I tried a search, but it seemed like several of the returns that populated were all of the same thing popping up over and over again, and it did not answer my questions. So my apologies if this is being discussed elsewhere... Anyway, I had a few questions about the operation of the photo ...

Re: Help Finding an Airliner Tail Number... from 2003

4UJ is the fleet number- I've noticed it often does that with other AA flights, as well (probably to do with how they're reported). According to Planespotters, that one would've been N940AS: http://www.planespotters.net/airframe/M ... n-Airlines I never would have guessed that!!! Thank you SOOO muc...

Help Finding an Airliner Tail Number... from 2003

Hi there. I'm trying to track down the registration number of a flight I flew on back in 2003. I've tried the US DOT BTS site but, although I've found the flight, the registration number listed is erroneous (see below) so I'd need another source. This was the first time I went to work with my dad; h...

MSFS2004 Project Opensky 757 Question

Hello all, I've got a question regarding the flight dynamics of the POSKY 757-200 for FS2004. I've searched the big FS addon sites for downloads and forum topics and just got more and more confused, because of how many different updated versions have been released over the years. My question is: whi...

Question: TWA Flights that did not touch JFK or STL

Hi everyone, After being a *very* long-time reader... I finally joined up and this is my first post! So my question tonight is about TWA's operations in the 1990s until their end. Obviously STL was their super-hub, and JFK was their other hub, which led to just about every flight touching either STL...
