Best place I have ever visited for Military A/C. is NAFEC. El Centro, California would be a long drive for you but it will provide you with non-stop action. The Taco Bell/McDonalds area is good for short final shots. I have spent many mornings/afternoons there. Winter light is better!! I usually park in the parking lot of Nikki Lee's(local bar) as they have less traffic. People are generally okay with spotters in the area..but I would not stand around w...

I heard the same thing(probably the same friend) and that is a bit steep. But if it is true...once you got enough folks to kick in cash..then you'll have a large group trying to get their monies worth of pictures. And that would just mean a bigger mess outside and then it would be back to the reason...

Here is an example I took this past weekend. Of course we get pretty close to landing aircraft and I chose a <acronym title="Transaer (Ireland) and Trans Asian Airlines (Kazakhstan)">T7</acronym> to get in tight on but I think this $500 lens speaks for itself. There is hardly any motion blur on this...

Oh how I miss our favorite touch down spot on 25L. We have had problems trying to find other GOOD locations and even got visited by the local police while shooting on Tropicana ave the other day. This closure is sure gonna hurt all winter long and I hate to think of all the missed shots I could have...
