All good news and thanks for sharing this with us here Summa767. I hope AV will at the 787-9 again for future expansion. Good to see the aviation in Colombia increasing. Jump to postAA already announced expansion of double daily MIA-ANU flights through 5th September, 2024. However, it will now operate 2X daily year round. AA will also go daily on CLT-ANU from 5th December, 2024 on a 737-800. Flights already bookable. This is a significant increase from the 1x weekly A319/A320 ...

225, 235, 242, 243 are done. There is a list of planned paint for 2024 but I'm not sure it's up to date nor is it public. Thanks Acey, I have C-FWSO coming in today so that one isn't painted in the new livery. We rarely get the WS 73G so it would have been nice to get the new livery on their 73G he...

Hi everyone,
I got below photo rejected for heat distortion but I don't this or other issues with this photo. Can anyone help me out here? It is a new aircraft type for this airline too.

Don't read too much in to these things. I regularly see very poorly digitally put together aircraft on Google Earth. This is one of them for sure.

The press release states that 'The Air France-KLM Group will place an order for 50 Airbus A350 family aircraft', any reason why they announced it before actaully placing the order? Was it because it was romoured so heavily? The 'order' still needs to be approved by the shareholders I believe. Also ...
Jump to postA company with money to burn intent on repainting a brand new a/c in this day and age - gees. The mind boggles. Jump to postI haven't read all posts but one deciding factor for KL is AMS planned/announced decrease in annual movements allowed. This is one of the reasons KL will use the A321NEO on European routes. This will añso be necessary for their widebody future fleet requirements.

It would be interesting to see what aircraft will be going to POS as the A330's are looking to be phased out over the next couple of years. They are currently looking at the A350 or more 787's. Most likely the 787 as the A350 is going to be too big for this route, as I read they are looking at the ...
Jump to postBoth Airbus and Boeing can win here if CI replaces their 77W fleet with the A35K and replacing their 74F's with 777-8 freighters. Boeing even ends up selling more airplanes to CI in this scenario but let's see what CI will decide of course.

Nice memories I have with my national carrier at the time. I made a stop in SJU coming from SXM on their MD80 a few times. One time we parked next to a Pan Am 727 and on the other side there was a TW Express Twin Otter. Nice memories.

Air Peace plans to bring Nigerian artists to Antigua for the carnival this year by operating flights from LOS to ANU on 5 and 9 August. You would expect that the flights will be operated by one of the airline's 777s. It is nice but I wonder how many artists they have to fill a 777? Or is it still c...
Jump to postYes, it's mainly MIA plus some traffic from DFW, JFK and CLT. In the old days, well up to 2013, AA and American Eagle had a hub at SJU and Eagle operated its ATR 72s as far as TAB, POS, AUA and CUR. Indeed but CLT this got quite a boost to the Caribbean. We will get daily CLT flights starting Decem...

Jump to postHi, when is HV expected to take delivery of the first of 17 A320NEO's they will lease from AirCap and Avolon? Jump to postThat may be a lot in the current environment but during “normal” times, this route had much more frequency than that. Thanks for all the replies to my post everyone. All valid points. I also think the 787 will eventually be better as A330 replacement so KL can streamline their long haul fleet on Boeing aircraft alone, as I mentioned earlier. We'll see what they will go for later this year.

Sorry everyone, with the 777 replacement I meant KL's 772 fleet of course but you probably got that I think :) The 787-9 can indeed replace the A330 but that wouldn't that be too much range on the 787-9 compared to the A330? Range they won't really take advantage of when putting the 787-9 on the A33...
Jump to postAs stated on the KL website the 787-10 range is 12,000KM with is pretty much in range to comfortably serve all current 777-200 destinations. Correct. Planepotters isn't accurate. The reason why I state the above is because I've been through the process within the past year looking for 42-500s (not for any airline within the region).
