Thanks for the report, it's a great insight into flying at the moment. As surreal and underwhelming as the experience was, hopefully it's one you can look back on fondly in years to come when we're all (hopefully) crammed back on top of each other into those 9-abreast 787s! Rotten luck that your ex...Jump to post
Interesting trip report and nice pictures. I flew BA LHR-ORD towards the end of May and back then the airport was completely deserted, so judging from your pictures it looks like travel may have picked back up a bit. It will be interesting to see how long the UK sticks with their 14 day quarantine p...Jump to post

I would appreciate some feedback on these photos - thanks!
Good photos. The French Riviera does indeed look like a nice place. I've been to Paris a few times and although it doesn't seem to be as heralded as the Mediterranean areas in Spain and Italy, I'd like to visit Nice in the future.Jump to post
Thank you for the comments and I'm glad you all found it interesting. If it operates I've got my first COVID flight on Wednesday, so very interesting to see how things have changed. I have since flown domestically on Delta. They cap their flights at 60% capacity so with all the bad that's come out o...Jump to post

Hello and welcome to my latest trip report! Pretty much ever since I was young, I had my sights set on following in my dad's footsteps and becoming a physician. Sad to say, during college I was always more of a B than an A student so when it came to medical school admissions my grades unfortunately ...Jump to post
Nice photos. Looks like you had a nice variety of aircraft. Sounds like quite a tiring day of traveling, however. I don't think I could pull off that kind of trip without turning into a zombie. I can't sleep on planes at all.Jump to post

I have to say I'm fairly surprised they're still trudging forward. First they kept delaying their start, then the problem with Elite came up, and once the whole COVID-19 situation flared up I figured that would probably be the final nail in the coffin. Though maybe they would have had more of a mess...Jump to post
I'm doing ORD-ATL-CHS-ATL on 5/31 with the last flight being on the MD-88. Then I'm going to spend a night at the famous Renaissance Concourse Hotel (I'm assuming it shouldn't be difficult to get a room facing the runway) before doing ATL-IAH the next morning on the MD-90. Its been a few days since...Jump to post

As someone who is based in the MKE area, the scarcity of flights makes it logistically difficult if not impossible to pull off one last trip on the MD-88s/90s without having to spend a night in ATL or elsewhere. Update: I found a series of reasonably priced flights and decided to pull the trigger. ...Jump to post
Hey we have to remember. It is NOT all about you. With the second part in mind, are you seriously suggesting the UK should plan everything entirely around you......because you're pretty sorely mistaken. There's roughly 120 other people in the program (just about all of whom are from outside the UK)...Jump to post

Has anyone arrived on an international flight at ORD recently? I'm flying BA from LHR in a few weeks and I was wondering if there's anything noteworthy I should expect upon arrival. Based on a quick online search, I can't seem to find anything about the existence of an official quarantine policy. Ev...Jump to post
United Kingdom have 14 day quarantines in place for those entering. Supposedly Boris Johnson is supposed to announce this policy tonight and it will start in June. For me personally, it sounds like a nightmare. Following the summer break I'm supposed to return to the UK for the second term of my me...Jump to post
Glad you got one last flight on a venerable aircraft type, and I'm hoping to do the same with DL's MDs as they too are being prematurely retired because of the pandemic. I never got the chance to fly aboard a A300/A310, nor the 727, the latter of which I'm particularly bummed about missing out on. T...Jump to post
Thanks for the interesting trip report and pictures. Its obviously surreal seeing ORD so quiet and empty in the middle of the day. I'm flying BA LHR-ORD in a few weeks and I'm sure it will be a memorable experience. I guess I hadn't considered that many of the restaurants at even a large airport lik...Jump to post
Delta is retiring all MD88s and MD90s effectively in June. Does that mean at least a few will remain flying through the end of May? I would love to get one last flight on these planes but I'm not returning home to the US until May 23rd. Does anyone know which cities out of ATL are still seeing the ...Jump to post
For starters, BA had cancelled my flight to TLV that was scheduled for late April. I applied for the voucher and was told I would receive it within seven days, but that was eight days ago and I still haven't gotten an email. While the UK may just be in it's "lock down" exit phase phase by then, I have a sneaky feeling large swathes of the US won't be open for business anyway so it'll be moot. If they've cancelled the 1st leg, the whole ticket (assuming it is all one ticket) should be subject to a full refund,...Jump to post

Nice trip report and thank you for the photos. Obviously there are many BA/IB flights during the day but if you have the time the BA/IB widebodies are the way to go ! Thank you for the trip report and pictures. The ads plastered all over the cabin are undoubtedly tacky but what are you gonna do? Nice report. Enjoyed reading it. Nice report and photos. Thanks for the comments! Legroom looks bad on EVA? Next time go to Palawan. The beaches on Bali look not so nice. Hello and thanks for checking out my latest trip report! Each of the past two summers I've traveled to Europe and Asia with a group of friends. I'm a little confused though because if Palpatine is her grandfather then what was the deal with her parents? Either the mother or father would have to be related to Palpatine. It could be that Elite decided to ditch MidEx. I saw the finale last night and although it falls short of being great, I thought it was good enough. The Last Jedi was a letdown. In some ways, it just didn't feel like a Star Wars movie and there were too many cringeworthy scenes (too much comedy, Leia flying through space, casino escapade, etc.)....Jump to post
It's been a quiet few months for Midwest Express, but it sounds like they're getting closer to takeoff. MKE got an MD-80 on the penultimate day yesterday and now I'm kind of regretting that I didn't get up there to grab a pic. Can someone explain to me why AA's MD-80s sound much quieter than DL's during landing? Is it because the engines are newer or the pilots simply dont apply reverse thrust as much?Jump to post
