Would this be detrimental on breaking ? I'm not usually one to point out spelling and grammatical errors, but when launching such topics you need to pay special attention.....the last word in that sentence can have drastically different meanings in an aviation discussion, depending on how you spell...

In 1995 the airport of Kolkata was renamed after Subhas Chandra Bose. He was an Indian nationalist who cooperated with the Japanese gentlemen to get rid of the British barbarians. He died in a plane crash in August 1945. I find it strange to name an airport after somebody who died in a plane crash....

No, you say that you think that 330s will be replaced by 787s. The logical answer is that they get replaced by 330neos. Air india, Royal Jordanian and Jetstar directly replaced their A330-200 with the 787-8. AI had a very small fleet of A330s.....the 787-8 was a replacement for their A310 fleet....

Maybe not really a superstition but there are two things I always do before a flight departs: - Actually look around the cabin to look for the nearest exit (including turning around to see if it's behind me) and, when it's not immediately clear which one is closer, count the seat rows to both exits...

As someone who has flown extensively in the 70s and 80s, I can certainly say that flights back in those days used to encounter more turbulence than today.....sudden violent pockets of turbulence as well as sustained CAT, all very common back in those days.....maybe due to more sophisticated weather ...

Jeddah is the main destination served by the remaining fleet of 744s at AI.....its a high volume destination for pilgrimage reasons as well as the usual Gulf traffic.....also not a very premium destination so the old 744s are utilised effectively on those routes, while being available for VVIP chart...

Yeah but they probably take the halt in both directions so may not qualify as triangle flights.....

I think AI used to do this on DEL-SYD-MEL-DEL route with the 787....maybe they still do....
