Re: Is it normal for a crew after a long haul to wait over 3 hours for a hotel room?

A lot of hotels use the same rooms for out going and incoming crew meaning there is a small amount of time to clean them sometimes resulting in a delay where problems get worse is when the incoming plane breaks down and the hotel doesn't have rooms for the incoming crew as the outgoing crew still ha...

Re: BNE-Norfolk Island both in Australia but International flight

Actually no Norfolk Island is now part of the state of New south Wales so part of Australia No. It is an External Territory of the Commonwealth, though for reasons of practicality the Government of NSW provides state-level services to the Island. Conversely, the island is considered part of the ACT...

Re: BNE-Norfolk Island both in Australia but International flight

Thanks so much for the above. My guess is that Air new Zealand does not have a presence at BNE or SYD domestic terminals so pax have to fly via the international ones( where they do) with all the hassle that entails. As noted above, the USA does this too. Flights from GUM, PPG, STT, STX, SPN, ROP to the 50 states, DC, and Puerto Rico are international flights. So are flights from PPG(if someone flew it), SPN, and ROP to GUM. Yes the difference being syd/bne to nlk is a domestic flight operated out of the intern...

All I can say is there are ways to treat people and also get them to do what your asking them. A little compassion would of made the sisters act as you asked and also feel they were being helped. For me I would of done all it takes to get them to see their dad one last time. But they do have to list...
