San Diego State usually flies in the afternoon before when flying to HNL to play Hawai‘i. Since HNLRareBirds.com began tracking team charters to HNL, in 2015, SDSU has made 4 of 5 road trips on Fridays, except for 2019, when they traveled on Thanksgiving.

Former Asia Pacific Airlines' 727-212F, N86425, was ferried to BGI in January 2023. It's registered to Astral Aviation (Kenya) to join the former fleet mate, N705AA (now 5Y-NIV). My guess its undergoing heavy maintenance.

I've heard that the FAA will no longer take registrations on 737-200s in a few years. I looked on their website, but did not come across anything.

Is this true?

in Hawaii, Aloha Air Cargo and TransAir both fly the -200, with the former having a pair of -300s in for conversion.

The original Boeing 717-100 was the civilian designation for the KC-135.

That is why the MD-95 was given the 717-200 designation, after Boeing acquired McDonnell-Douglas.

He owns 98% of Lāna‘i ... he could have more MKU flights than HAL.

HAL is only starting off with 2 ATR42s.

MKU is supposed to get 1-2 more ATR72s, and 2-3 ATR42s. They could operate more flights into Lāna‘i from around the islands.
