Extra 02 masks - seat rows #

Hi, I am flying Vueling and Iberia (A320 in Y) next summer with my wife & a lap child and I am about to select our seats. Unfortunatley, I am unable to find out which rows (even/odd, one out of three?) are equipped with extra 02 masks (apparently no info on Seatguru, etc.). Does anybody know how...

RE: Going For 11 - It's All Swiss Aviation

Well, maybe I do not have a correct definition of what a PTV is, but I am 100% sure there was a small screen on the back of each Y seat showing movies and the in-flight map with plane's speed, altitude, etc.

Hi! I hope it's the good thread to post the following question, since plenty of knowleadgeble Swiss people read it... I flew GVA-<acronym title="New York - John F. Kennedy International (Idlewild) (JFK / KJFK), US...

RE: Future Emirates Destinations

What about GVA? Initially planned for December 2005, the launch of that destination was postponed to 2006 due to shortage of aircraft (in that case A332).Since I haven't heard anything new about that, I'm rather p...

A380 At GVA In April!

According to the very reliable DPTS Association (see http://www.dpts.org/expectedvisitors.html ) , an A380 will perform a low pass without landing at GVA...

RE: Is The A340 Cabin Sinking The A340 And A350!

I really love the 777, but for the passengers, the A340 (A330) is simply a more comfortable plane (expect the overhead bins). For me, being in a "quiet" long-haul aircraft is very important, you feel less tired after a 10 hours flight. And the absence of "double excuse me" seats is an additional asse...

It's not really relevant to the topic but I heard somewhere that, within the SR fleet, each MD-11 had a different performance in terms of fuel consumption. Can somebody confirm it and give more details? Thanks

Thanks Kaddyuk!

773ER OEW= 167t (www.boeing.com) (engines=16.6 t)
A346 OEW = 177t (engines=25.2 t)

Apparently the weight difference stems mainly from the number of engines...

77W-A346 Weight Difference

My first post on A.net...I hope not a too silly question... How do you explain the rather big weight difference (especially OEW) between the 773ER and the A346? Is the 777ER made of more composite materials? I guess the number of engines makes no huge weight difference (GE-90-115B are rather impress...
