Re: CANADA JETLINES getting ready to fly

Starting an airline at that time of year is a completely stupid idea, but, once again, par for the course for these clowns. What could possibly go wrong? Since 2020 is a leap year, they should wait to launch until February 29, 2020. It would align well with a certain airline's upcoming 6th birthday...

Going way off topic, but I see AC have loaded the A220 into the fleet page. They will be assigned FINs in the 100s. I noticed the same thing. I wonder if it was intentional. The first 6 Canadian Built , DC-4M1 North Stars were given FINs in the 100s. As were the Canadian Built CL-65-100/200s. And n...

Thanks as always enilria. I can only guess that WN’s changes (save for EWR) are all MAX-related given they’re only for 1 month?

If I were an airline with MAX ops, I’d assume at this point that it will be the entire IATA winter season before they’re back.

Re: Regional Startup Airline / Aircraft type choice / Graduation Thesis

Well, it depends. If you’re flying routes of under 500 miles, I’d choose the ATR. It’s a good aircraft for fuel efficiency, and can seat over 70 passengers. And, the difference in speed between it and a regional jet are nearly nonexistent. Example: In an ATR-72, a flight from CLE-MDW would take 68 ...

YYZ-YYC
YYZ-YYC-NRT
YYZ-YVR

Plus maybe the odd Rapidair.
