Re: Have quality standards changed on here recently?

Photos directly from the cam, scaled down, sharpened and added with a little bit contrast have no chance for beeing accepted anymore. Last year some some of my pictures were rejected because t...

Re: Have quality standards changed on here recently?

Hi Paul, Thank you for your response. My comments indeed do not apply to vintage photos. Here are a few random examples where I think stricter screening could be applied (or at least considered) to ensure a consistent level of high quality standards. 1. Lots of distracting clutter (fence, ramp equi...

Nikon Peeps: 24-120 vs 24-70

Hello.. I purchased the latest Nikon 70-200 offering (70-200 f/2.8E FL ED VR) and I'm super pleased with it. To round out my lenses particularly for A2A shoots, I'm looking at a couple of lenses in particular: Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR & the Nikkor 24-70mm F2.8G ED I'm really teetering back and...

Nikon Issue While Panning

Hello all. This is particularly for my fellow Nikon photogs. Here's an example, granted it's not the best quality but this is purely...

There is a shot on the front page at the moment of some mothballed freighters where the main aircraft in the shot has the tail, engine and nose wheel all cut off. Nikkor 80-400 vs 70-200

Hello all. I'm a Nikon guy but one lens I've always been super envious of the Canon 100-400. What a perfect range for aviation. My go to is my 200-500, but the base of 200mm makes it limited when shooting photos of anything close, so I'm trying to find a decent equivalent to the 100-400. Does anyone...

You will need to shoot in manual mode, expose for the outside light conditions, then use fill flash to properly expose the cockpit. If you look at the panels at the very top, you can see what looks like shadow from the flash. Make sure the flight crew is OK with you popping a flash though. That's w...
