Amazing to see the 767 truck on without a re-engine! What a solid airplane.

Jump to postHave to agree with the above. It's not popular considering it involves a Head Screener, but considering how strictly screeners normally uphold the rules, how come these shots are being allowed? For what it's worth, I like these recently uploaded shots, but they're clearly backlit. Is this considered...

Jump to postHi Paul, Thank you for your response. My comments indeed do not apply to vintage photos. Here are a few random examples where I think stricter screening could be applied (or at least considered) to ensure a consistent level of high quality standards. 1. Jump to postHello.. I purchased the latest Nikon 70-200 offering (70-200 f/2.8E FL ED VR) and I'm super pleased with it. To round out my lenses particularly for A2A shoots, I'm looking at a couple of lenses in particular: Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR & the Nikkor 24-70mm F2.8G ED I'm really teetering back and...

Thanks for the tips guys. I adjusted my autofocus points and I'm seeing much better results. Thank you!
Jump to postHello all. This is particularly for my fellow Nikon photogs. I'm noticing when I drop my shutter speed to pan or get good prop blur, I'm having an issue where the camera seems to alternate between blurring the nose and the tail. Here's an example, granted it's not the best quality but this is purely...

Jump to postThere is a shot on the front page at the moment of some mothballed freighters where the main aircraft in the shot has the tail, engine and nose wheel all cut off. Hello all. I'm a Nikon guy but one lens I've always been super envious of the Canon 100-400. What a perfect range for aviation. My go to is my 200-500, but the base of 200mm makes it limited when shooting photos of anything close, so I'm trying to find a decent equivalent to the 100-400. Does anyone...

Jump to postI have to side with Kevin here... I have a similar sky in the database. Here's that exact scen...

Thanks for the advice. Here is my first attempt! Learned some valuable lessons but overall pleased with how it turned out.
You will need to shoot in manual mode, expose for the outside light conditions, then use fill flash to properly expose the cockpit. If you look at the panels at the very top, you can see what looks like shadow from the flash. Make sure the flight crew is OK with you popping a flash though. That's w...
Jump to postHello all! Jump to postJust my own personal experience, but flew 6 times in the last 3 weeks, and all 6 were completely uneventful and everyone was behaved mask-wise (AA/WN) and middle seat-wise (WN). A total non-event. Wish people weren't so horrified by the thought of flying right now.

Thanks for your response. I too agree with the reasons for rejection. I should have clarified. My main concern was that if it was backlit, which I did not believe it to be, that it wasn't even fixable in the first place.

Jump to postOkay, I get you now. Just to clarify, it is the general blur across the frame rather than the aircraft being blurry that's the issue? I can see both sides to be honest. Jump to postIt doesn't look like it because of the way I cropped the photo, but my focus point was centered on the P-3, which is why it's in focus/sharp..
