Interesting article and shows that Amazon is continuously tweaking efficiency. I found it interesting that there was no mention of Amazon wanting to offer p...
Jump to postThanks Alasizon for all your interesting info. My first flight out of PHX was December of 1971. What a change from those days. I don't pine for the old days but it nice to have seen the changes at PHX and the Valley in general. @cathey747 Living in the West Valley the Snow Bird departure means less ...
Jump to postI agree , things happen. The real test of a safe operation like United is that all of the aircraft returned and landed with no damage or injuries. (damage of course to the 73 off the runway but still no injuries) When I say no damage i mean from the landing and return. There might have been damage f...

Jump to postIt seems that Global Airlines has added the former A380 engineer from Airbus to thier roster.
https://bnnbreaking.com/finance-nav/bus ... ial-launch
HiFly is a serious business. They know how to operate the A380. The issue is still the questionable business concept of the Global venture and their entire organisational and legal setting. It seems Global is more an internet self promoted amateur charter brand and far from being any airline. While...

I don't think it is safe at all. There will be no more FO's? How would a pilot progress to a Captain's role if there are no FO's? Or would the automation be the Captain and everyone else an FO? Long haul?
Jump to postAs a 29 yr resident of the Grand Canyon ( Now in PHX) most people would put PHX around Yuma. A vast majority of people (including Americans) believe the Canyon is near LAS. Jump to postI thought Europeans were better versed in geography especially compared to most Americans so that surprises me a bit. Everyone knows where LA, San Francisco, New York and Chicago are. Jump to postI am wondering what happened to the sub contractors that were tasked to fix the faulty rivets near the left plug door? If they merely painted over the rivets instead of fixing them they should have been fired for falsifying the repair. Boeing should have gone to Spirit in an outrage for Spirit fakin...
Jump to postEver heard of Rent-a-Wreck? You are basically describing their business model, and seem relatively successful in their niche. You beat me to it. Although I don't think they are still around, at least not in my area. Used them once in the '90s when my vehicle was down for a few days. They had a fran...
Jump to postIt might be fun for us to read all their promises and what they possibly consider to sound like "a real airline's PR statement" but it is no fun if people get lured into investing money in these phantasy projects because they start to take it serious. Jump to postThe FAA has stated that 40 planes have had the inspection completed. It says it will carefully review the findings. Jump to postI personally don't mind threads like this as I find it interesting to see what the problem is. I have been on 4 Aircrafts that have declared either a Pan Pan or Mayday. Jump to postIn following your debating above, I think I'd have to say that investing in a ULCC terminal would be a waste of money. Jump to postI have a question about America West that does not deserve its own thread. Jump to postAs a customer I always thought that beverage service on a 40 min flight is totally not needed. I can do without a small plastic cup of diet coke. Jump to postSo do we think the A321s will go at some point? That would give them a fleet wide Boeing fleet aside some A330 cargo jets once the 787s replace all the A330s eventually. I don't think so.
