Fascinating! Nice to read about an unusual way of travelling by air within Japan.

That appears to be a most unusual method of boarding the Dash 8-300 at Haneda for the flight to Oshima. There seems to be a wee mini set of steps attached to the Dash's internal steps. Most odd.

If you could wait until about May you would get soome excellent deals on Princess Cruises in the Mediterranean. The 'Grand Class' Princess ships are splendid and cater for all ages groups. You'd be getting all the fun of a cruise and some nice trans-atlantic flights too!
