I'm surprised DEN is not 2x daily. I think DL serves every major city at least 2x daily except DEN. I believe SAN and PHX are both once daily as well. Based on the timetable on the CX website, HKG-BOS-HKG goes to daily as of 06/15/2024. I believe the idea to allow them to be more flexible in that they can take the 4 new gates and have 6-7 narrow-bodies there. At least that's what I saw in a Massport meeting deck a couple of years back.

NK adding BOS-EWR starting May 8th, twice daily. They continue to grow in Boston. If DL does bring back BOS-TLV, it won't be in 2024. I would think a frequency increase by LY is more likely in the next 12-18 months, than DL returning on BOS-TLV.

The difference in distance is pretty small (less than 150 miles), were they really in the position where they needed to make the stop? Did they hit tougher headwinds than anticipated? I looked up previous JNB-EWR flights and the route almost always clips over southern Mass on its approach into EWR. ...

While it's still early, Turkish has adjust its non-stop service to Istanbul to run daily from 12/3/2024-02/03/2025, instead of the previously filed 5 weekly service.

The BOS-AUS is Sat/Sun only, so its not really targeted to either end POS business, but rather summer leisure demand. They returned PVD-DEN Sat/Sun this summer and also added PVD-DAL Sat only which was a surprise to me. All of these routes are gone after mid-August. Hopefully DEN-PVD goes year-roun...

They don't currently serve BOS but do have a sizable presence at PVD. So, it stands to reason they're likely (should the routes actually materialize) launch from PVD and not BOS.

This helps explain why DL quietly canceled their announced BOS-MEX daily service before it even began. Hopefully this time around, BOS can maintain service to MEX.

What are the largest markets between Boston and Brazil? I believe the Boston area has the 4th or 5th largest number of Brazilians in the US. Would it be viable for an airline like Azul to launch non-stop service to Boston to some of the more northern cities in Brazil?

There are already unused HAV frequencies available to whoever wants them. Nobody wants them. And for the secondary markets each city gets 10 frequencies and again, nobody wants them.
