This week I took the AA NS PHX-BNA and back, As a DL platinum, I could not justify connecting in ATL while paying more. The new 738 interior was nicer that I expected. Keep in mind I have not flown AA much at all. I was in first on the return and I think the seats were even more comfortable than DL....

Today at A15 around 1 pm, fire trucks were lined up on one side and police cars on the other. My assumption was fallen soldier or a first responder casket arriving. Was a somber sight.

How did day 1 of mandatory masks go at the airport? Do you have to take them off at TSA checkpoints to verify identity or did they stop that as well? I was supposed to be flying out and had my mask ready however the trip was cancelled yesterday afternoon.

Is it common for the approach to the south runways to overfly the airport and do an extended right 270? I honestly have never noticed this before. Makes sense however it is just not something I have observed. Maybe due to a runway change or just a traffic flow solution?

Last night sucked. I flew STL-PHX. We got over Gallup and they put us in a hold. The crew timed out and we were running low on gas, so they sent us to Ontario. My three hour flight ended up being a six hour flight by the time it was all said and done with. Sometimes monsoon storms just cause havoc....

Very cool to see the first 777 is heading to Pima as discussed in another thread. I like seeing intact airplanes down there as I typically only get to see the gutted frames at MZJ. A great addition for AZ.
