America would probably be very interesting to explore the possibility of also being the principal player for...

RE: Lan Chile 737 0r A 320

Thanx RJdelta. It caught my attention because last January on a business trip to Chile I had a three hour technical delay of an A320 going from SCL to Puerto Montt in southern Chile (btw ,must be one the most beautiful places on earth). "Instrument failure ", I was told. The airplane was brand new, ...

Flight 330 Scl- Antofagasta right after departure had to return to airport due to " navigation instruments failure". Do you know if it was a 737-200 o...

Baggage And Cargo Security Screening

Could anyone at the forum explain the reason why it is taking so long to enforce the screening of ALL , meaning 100% ,checked in baggage and cargo, using all technology already available at major airports. After all airlines are asking passengers to show up three hours before departure. Recently I h...

Very good article, particularly descriptive at the summary paragraph : "...when the notably higher purchase price of the 777 is factored into the analisis..." Question, how much relative weight do you guys think purchase price and payment terms had in NW final decision ?

RE: Delta 1089 Emergency Landing

The answer from the flight attendant while waiting in Atlanta was something like "one of the airconditioners is not working, we opened the little vent holes (pointing towards something above the window) but does not help much." It was a hot day BTW.The rest of the lighting features seemed to be work...

BWIA330: That is an aspect of my concern. In this case case they knew while on the ground that the air conditioning was not working properly. They took off nonetheless. Could those problems be related? If so, should the crew had done something about it to avoid this whole situation, or is is it just...

The original route is advertised as being on a 757 with one stop in Atlanta but no aircraft change. The first surprise was that the plane was an MD 88 .No explanation given. We were also told...
