TLV runs pretty much 24/7 save Yom Kippur. Banks of flights to the US and far east leave as late as 0130. There are arrivals from late evening flights from Europe between 0200 and 0500. The first Bank of Europe flights starts as early as 0430 and those folks need to clear security starting at 0130. ...

Well at any rate lots of conflicting reports in press. FAs have posted on social media that there was a modicum of violence as have some pax. Other pax posted claiming no violence at all and praising LY for the arrangements made in ATH.

of course the crew would be on duty for a while before 2250 it takes maybe 30 minutes to get from a seaside hotel in TLV (none at the airport alas) by the crew bus so they would be on duty from when 2200 or 2130 maybe so for a say 11:50 long flight TLV to EWR with 2 hours prior for travel from hotel...

TLV is very busy for departures (US mainly and far east) between 2200 and 0130
as the first flights in the AM early morning bank start departing at 0500
and with three hour checkin time - pax start arriving for these around 0130-0200
so that place is pretty packed in the wee hours
