Re: Impact of a major Israel-Iran escalation on Middle Eastern aviation

Israeli news claims Israel will respond tonight. https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog-april-15-2024/ I looked through. It said Israel would respond, not when. Did I miss something? I wouldn't fly in Iranian air space, but that is just my opinion. I re-read myself and it only says they will respon...

They need to fly where leisure passengers are going in the winter. Filling the planes (to get max ancillary revenue) should be first priority if they can't find anywhere with yields high enough to cover operating costs on fares alone (which seems to strongly be the case). Problem is, where is that?...

It may force opening dialogue between Russia and Europe/US, and maybe airlines can fly over Russian space again with certain limitations. A chance for peace between Russia and Ukraine but I can only see it happening with Ukraine in a not so ideal solution. ME3 will definitely be the most nervous el...

I’m so excited there will finally be a good connection between Scandinavia and Atlanta. I have been there a few times and the connection with UA to/from EWR is inconvenient. ATL is also a better airport to arrive from overseas than EWR.
