I’d expect UA to try to make the first EWR-ATH year-round and/or add ORD-ATH before adding a second seasonal EWR-ATH (also factoring in EK’s EWR-ATH).

I’m betting on an expansion of the UA-EK deal including IAD-DXB, complementing EWR-DXB. Also maybe throw in some fun routes from ORD to secondary Europe—maybe UA will challenge AA on ATH. I’d love to see UA on ORD-ATH but I feel like the next step for them would be to make EWR-ATH year-round first....

The international schedule was just updated again. It appears that PHL - ATH has been reduced even further. Now September is gone too. It is now running from June 1st until September 4th.
