Governor Cuomo as well as Delta put out a press release with information on the opening of Concourse G in the Fall. They also released some updated renderings. Doesn’t seem to look as nice as Terminal B/Concourse B at all. http://news.delta.com/coming-view-delta-s-first-new-laguardia-concourse-open-...Jump to post

The rebrand looks great. From the Polaris hard product onboard to the lounges to even the seats in economy. It all fits together nicely with the new livery.Jump to post
The Points Guy has an article about Delta’s (and United’s) 767s. It seems the 767-300ERs will be retired and not updated again. “There are no plans to refurbish the 767-300ERs, a smaller variant of the plane, which is found on many routes to Asia and Europe and will be phased out with the introducti...Jump to post
Maybe something more like this would be good? Keeps the grey under the belly so it's not just fully eurowhite ;-) :D :D :D https://i.imgur.com/czAL0wg.jpg It could also be good to cut the globe as I did here - I find it was quite an awkward shape when some was visible behind the tail How did it loo...Jump to post
A PDF presentation containing more renderings and technical information about the concourse expansion has recently been released. Five new international configured gates are to be added at concourse A and A & B concourse will have an outdoor observation patio at the end. https://business.flyden...Jump to post
Interesting that Delta is pushing to move non-Sky Team airlines out of jFK T4. Until the new North Terminal and South Terminal are complete, there really isn’t anywhere for them to go. Delta is probably withholding paying for any more expansions at T4 until they get what they want. https://viewfromt...Jump to post

This article has some nice renderings of T1.5.
Per seekingalpha.com: Edward Bastian Hi Helane, this is Ed. We are obviously working with the Governor as we do with the Port Authority to figure out the long-term strategy at JFK. Right now, I think it's premature. A vision's been laid out. There's a long way to go between taking that vision and so...Jump to post
Perhaps T4 connects with new T1 the new "North Terminal" or whatever and DL takes over the pier that currently has all those random carriers on it. That should approximate what they're losing in T2, no? The lack of even acknowledgement of T8 in this whole plan is bizarre to me It is funny...Jump to post
On the earnings call today, Ed Bastian said Delta is negotiating with the port authority and Cuomo's office to "move T2's capacity into T4." This includes building out additional facilities. Deal isn't done yet, but clearly it's coming. This would make the most sense. I hope they also ful...Jump to post
Delta put up a ton of cash for a half new terminal. To go from T2 which is a terribly old building dating back to the 60’s. And take a bus to T4 is ridiculous. Plus the walk from the entrance of T4 to the further gates is a looooong walk. They don’t even run T4 IAT does. Then there was the plan for...Jump to post
I think AA and DL are both still negotiating and we can expect to see something from both of them. Also, this press release isn’t just Cuomo’s Vision. He put that out there (with different renderings) In January 2017. These are actual proposals from the companies willing to fund these projects and s...Jump to post
Just about a year ago... the A350s replace the 777-200s. Why all this talk of the problem with them?

Wow these are awful.
In contrast, check out BA’s new design. So much classier.

Delta is currently testing a restaurant style meal service where customers order their appetizers and entrees and each is delivered separately. Looks promising. https://www.bizjournals.com/newyork/news/2018/07/26/delta-air-lines-testing-majorly-enhanced.html?ana=e_ae_set1&s=article_du&ed=201...Jump to post

Delta really does a good job of renovating their airplanes. Looks brand new.
Lots of exterior renderings too. So happy they are making the outside look more modern too.

I visited the lounge today. It is a beautiful space but of course I can’t imagine United keeping it looking like this very long. Would love for them to prove me wrong but they never have. The service started very nice. Everyone was friendly at the bar and the cocktails were delicious. But the dining...Jump to post
TPG released some photos of the 777-200's new economy product. Is it just me or does this look wider compared to other 10-abreast products? Personally I feel that the seats look quite nice, and there are quite a few options to maximize comfort in a 10-abreast setting. All last row seats (except for...Jump to post
A little news coming from UA regarding the Polaris roll out on the Q1 conference call... As I mentioned earlier SFOs lounge opens at the end of this month and it sounds like IAH and EWRs clubs open in May with LAX coming online later this year. UA also plans on adding/retrofitting one additional pl...Jump to post
Some updates from United’s new Fleet Plan released with their Q1 Results: Total CR2’s at year-end 122 (likely will see a few of the Skywest birds retired) Total ER4’s at year-end 177 (looks like a few more will be pulled back into service for ExpressJet as the CommutAir fleet continues to grow) UA ...Jump to post

I was looking at a map of TBIT earlier, and after hearing so many complaints about the size of the headhouse, security, etc.: are they planning to build it out some? Even if it costs a gate or two? Won't this help with congestion? From the rendering of TBIT, it looks like the entire front of it wil...Jump to post
Love this line from the Tribune article:
“My boss, the mayor, has this thing: ‘I don’t just want O’Hare to be bigger, it has to be the best,’ and this is one of the ways we’re going to leapfrog over the other U.S. international terminals,” Evans said.
Oh great, yet another non-airside connected terminal at EWR... I wonder, does this fit into some greater airport strategy, or is this just a way to expand into available space, without thinking too much about changing the airport's layout in the long term? Will terminal A get gates directly attache...Jump to post
What are the plans for the current Terminal A? It still shows it standing in the renderings. Hopefully they demolish it and Terminal B and build Terminal 2.Jump to post

Delta invited journalists to Atlanta today to get a preview of their new A350 and a surprise flight.
TPG did an initial post about it with lots of pics:
That's awesome. He seems like a really good guy. Most United employees seem to like him too.Jump to post
