Re: Probe launched after oxygen bottles on CX planes found half-empty before flight from YYZ to HKG

This is a serious incident. My thoughts is, someone wants to deliver a message to CX Unfortunately, such means is not a good one. Depleting oxygen tank can be potentially a dangerous way of harming the crew during emergency and therefore, the motivation for such behavior by the crew is less likely u...

Re: Boeing 787-10 Missions in the transpacific market

My understanding for EVA AIR is to use 787-1000 to replace its A330 fleet which is already being replaced by -300 vs the previous -200. I think the 787-900 may be candidate for thin long range route but I am not sure. EVA has a large fleet of 777-300ER and maybe the size of that is too big for some ...

With the ongoing war between China and the US, there are rumors circulating about a possible order of up to 180 A321neos from XiamenAir. The deal will be valued up to $18 billion USD. Two of my most patronized airlines, BR and CX, both have the business class seat angled or slanted. EVA has a strong fleet of 777 to fly to USA destinations. I struggled to understand the need of 787 but if replacing the A330 series, that makes sense. EVA originally uses A330-200 as a replacement for their B767-300 fleet, then, they upgraded to -300 and now 787. Makes a lot of sense. Unless the ai...
