Alternatives that are within walking distance are: 1. spot by the fence near <acronym title="Eastern Airw...

I have some touchdown pics in the queue now where you can see the huge number of people on top of the car park too. Quite incredible. I understand why Airways do not want to get involved, but it's really a pretty poor show for them to say that to you - at the very least they should be prepared to talk to Aerobrand about the issue. Yes, but what the D30 owners don't realise is that the sensor cleaning function, like on the Canons, only works when the camera is attached to the mains. Only Nikon don't include the mains adapter in the kit. So it means you will end up paying out for the adapter SOLELY for when you want to clean th...

Well, the spot by the approach to 27R is on HAL (Heathrow Airport Limited) property, so they can easily boot you off there. As for the Myrtle Avenue field, my understanding is that it's a public green space, so they cannot stop you from being there. It also has a footpath going across the middle of ...

Of course the advantage of buying WITHIN the EU is that you would not have to pay any VAT when importing the camera to the UK (from Germany, for example). The DISadvtange is that you will have to pay whatever the equivalent of VAT is in the country from where you are importing. Again, using Germany ...

There's an authorised Canon repairer in Stoke on Trent called Lehmanns Direct who I have spoken to in the past (they sell spares too). Hmmm. Looking at the EXIF data I see that you have sharpening turned off in the camera. As one of the criticisms of the D100 is that its jpegs are particularly soft, I would never be tempted to shoot like this anyway (ie jpegs with no in-camera sharpening). I've shot 28,000 frames with the Canon D30...

As long as you are happy using the Sigma "pro" (EX) converters with the 70-200 F2.8 then they are both excellent. Like Nikon and Canon's high quality converters, the front element of the converter stands proud of the mount, so you can't just attach it to any old lens - it needs to be a lens that has...

"in flight" is not the same as "air to air". If I shoot an overflying aircraft for example, it is clearly IN FLIGHT (although I still tend to put in the location I was when I took the shot, as this is usually an airport), but as I am on the ground, it is not air to air. The question is, at what poin...
