Are there still C-5s in storage that could be returned to service? It would be expensive to reengine them, and maybe even zero-hour the airframe, but it might still be cheaper then a new design.

Don’t count on that in the Netherlands! The 200 and 500 notes can be rejected, in particular in smaller stores. Large sums are handled by debit card and (to a lesser extent) credit card.

Realistically, the USA already has anything and everything it needs to defeat anyone except for Klingons.

If you are desperate to spend additional money, divert it to the veterans association to build additional hospitals and to streamline their computer systems to make their work easier.

The photo was shot at Ramenskoye, July 19th. That makes it part of the MAKS airshow and trade fair. The Russian equivalent to Farnborough or Le Bourget.

So the photo is legit.
