UA may have already driven AI out of ORD. As per the OAG thread, AI is discontinuing DEL-ORD from April 2021. I realize it is a few months away and AI may change schedules later but I will not be surprised if AI is out of ORD. Looks like they are dropping IAD as well. 0% surprised if true. IAD clea...

Re: British Airways to Lahore

I can't see both BA and VS both thriving on service to LHE, especially targeting largely O&D. That said, BA probably has the more ideal equipment for the route in a B788. If cargo demands it, I could see an up-gauge to a B789 or a B772. BA will likely pick up a lot of passengers from Canada and...

I don't think Israel is big enough for overflights to be important for any country except Jordan, but I suppose it does give another option to Gulf airlines that want to avoid Syrian airspace heading west. Economically, the benefit to the Gulf airlines is that they'll get traffic between Israel and...

I also believe that the 77Ls are ripe for replacement/retirement. ET may keep them around long like the 763s while it receives newer aircraft, and even convert them to freighters, with the 77Ws returned to lessors quicker. The sheer size of the 350 fleet, and how quickly it has grown (rapid pace of...

Yep and you can see it - the original ET 777-300ER routes were all replaced by A350-900s (yes you got that right) prior to the COVID. So it's not like bigger is better like many ones want to show here and make a case for 777X. Michael Not exactly, the original 77W routes were: IAD, CAN, PEK, DXB, L...
