Re: Washington, DC (BWI / DCA / IAD) Aviation - 2024

I've noticed Emirates moved over to Concourse B, Gate B44/42 ever since they brought back the A380 this past sunday. Anyone have an idea why this would be? EK usually used A20/22 for its A380, and there are no conflicting flights that would need to use A20/22 in the morning Also, unless something ch...

Re: Ethiopian orders 8 777-9, options for 12 more

PS Where did you get the “excellent hot&high performance” numbers from? Are the large wings or the powerful GE9X engines not convincing enough? That's not all though, there is also a lot of weight to lift. So the 777-8 will be way more hot and high in comparison. The real question will be, can ...

However, I do wonder how they will address the reduce in passenger capacity from down-gauging from 77W to 359 during peak summer season (a loss of near 50 seats). They are also running the second flight to Dulles via Lome 3x weekly - so there is a net increase in total seats versus just a daily 77W...

Looks like ET is struggling to make ADD-GRU nonstop work during the past ~6 months, if you look at FR24, you'll notice ET506 gets diverted to EBB for refuel at least a few times per month. Did DL quietly change their plans? I flew into DCA today and there is still an advertisement for these new services at their Metro check-in so I'd assume they are still on track to commence this?

From my understanding the flight existed as a tool for QR to somewhat maintain 3x daily service to JFK; which was difficult for QR as they were short on aircraft due to the grounding of a number of their A350s.
