I wasn't saying YHZ. YHM is what I had posted. I would agree YHZ would certainly be an odd pick. Although with the Jets I could make a guess they could make transatlantic ops from there. Speculation for sure. Either way very interesting times ahead.

It will be interesting for sure. Times are different and Porter / deluce don't own the airport anymore although no doubt they have plenty of say of what still goes on regarding the slots and many other things that go on at the airport. Regarding the video with N865F. I believe that is a different Aircraft than the one pictured in the post. I can't imagine a re engined DC8 going back to the original engines. Correct me if I am wrong

I was on one a few days ago. When the flaps came out they made a howling sound. Very similar to the sounds the BAE 146 used to make with movements of the flap system.
Beauty of an aircraft took off like a rocket.

So as for the performance part...... the 86 was powered by 4 NK-86. I'm gonna guess these were the same engines placed on the Tu 154 A / B variants. Was there any tweaking to their performance? As I have watched some takeoffs of the 154s with the NKs fitted and they seem to have a hell of a take off...

With a range of about 3200 kms. It used to refuel in SNN and YQX. For flights into HAV and JFK. I remember the odd time seeing or should I say hearing this roar over head in YQX on our way to the Lake cabin. What a sight to see it slowly gain altitude.

Skyservice Bent a 767 in PUJ. C-GJMC. We just introduced the 767. maybe by a few weeks at most. Sat in PUJ for months. Even built a Tarmac to repair the 767 down there. Never did come back to Skyservice Fleet, after repairs it went back to Thomas cook / My Travel. Crews refused to fly it for a spell...

Roots Air actually flew an ex braniff 727 back in 2001. C-GOKF still had the braniff plate on the over head panel. was leased from Kelowna Flightcraft.

AC operates both due to the 175 not having the same engine out performance of the CRJ705/900. This is what I have been told I could be wrong. sorry. a vacuum toilet certainly uses water. that funny hiss you hear before all the waste disappears is water. it actually looks similar to a normal toilet flushing. 17 years flying..... i know how each system works

Skyservice used to fleet exchange with Air Tours My Travel Then onto Thomas Cook. Also First Choice Then TUI. A mis matched fleet of aircraft in many different colour schemes. Spent a summer flying with them out of MME on a C Reg 320. A similar thing to what Sunwing does now days

Very true, but it just goes to show its one hell of a battle. now with 4 ulcc's attempting to start thats a bit of over crowding on these underserved airports and routings. Will be a great time for travelling. Probably going to be cheaper than my travel passes with the airline. and confirmed. :-D
