I thought the A340-500 belongs to Carrier from Protugal, it still carries a CS- Registration.
It is definitely not airworthy, some parts of the engines are missing and the rest seems to be in a rather bad shape as well.
In general I think this is a good move. It s ridiculous that a Train ticket to your next city is more expensive than a flight from Germany to Mallorca. First it is an environmental decision and second will make the life harder for Carriers like WIZZ and Ryanair with their strange concepts of employm...
Jump to postBack on track I really do not like all the individuel airliners in the EU getting a national bailout the EU should decide based on a set of objective criteria which airliners get a bailout. Criteria could be unique routes, crical routes (e.g. business travel more importent then tourism), medical su...
Jump to postI think BA just started a series of decisions which will be made later today resulting in all major EU carriers stopping flights to China. Last but not least February is usually a very weak month for the China flights so the economical impact may be far weaker than the symbolic character of this dec...
Jump to postlooks like they descended into FFM VOR instead of the runway threshold..
Jump to postThis is quite a common practice these days.
I remember LH doing this on a delayed NGO-FRA stopping at WAW and a CCS-FRA flight stopping at LIS
T Tails are more critical during stalls.
because the Airflow created by the stalling wings affects the elevator more on T Tail aircraft than on regular Tails.
maybe because they can do Venice and Paris within 10 Minutes
Jump to postWould you bet on this?
The Reports alone may deliver the final blow for WOW Air
Isn' t there a VIP A346. I think it belongs to a company in Saudi Arabia!
could be them!!!
But still no problem because they get control of their country and their border back
Back in the days when Pan Am hat 727s based in FRA I did LHR-TXL-FRA but thats the weirdest, if you may call it so, I did.
Jump to postI go for WDH,LAS and SCL as next destinations.
WDH may be connected to LAD the same way KLM does it.
I would suggest they are doing a crew change in Dublin.
MUC-IAD is the longest 2men flight LH has and LH has done this in the past sending Crews to WAW,AMS DUB to exchange delayed long haul crews
The reason is quite simple!
Pilot shortage during the summer peak.
Most likely a check event at the LHT Facility!
They also do a lot of work on the 343 and 333 thats why sometimes fly the regular FRA-MLA-FRA with bigger equipment and change planes there!
Nice one! DUS is tricky under x wind conditions even more with southerly winds! Aircrafts can handle a lot of side movement! However looks like bad technique, late decrab resulted in an overcorrection and i could hardly see him braking the rate of descent. We have an Airbus Landing technique Sim Mis...

With AB gone, getting slots at TXL shouldn't be any issue[/quote]
Not quite correct!
In case of a sudden grounding slots will be given on a first come first serve basis! E.g Ryanair which is LHs major concern
I heard a Rumor that a Slot at TXL filled with a wide body is worth 4 narrow body slots!
And because everyone is expect ion AB to be out of money by then LH is trying to secure as much as they can!
Only a rumor!!!
Part of the new contract is the the Jump ops will return to mainline asap but max within 3 years!
Rumors saying that it will take around 2 years!
I wonder where the 346 will fly to. 1 1/2 Aircraft will be needed for BOG which I assume will get 346 service again.
Maybe the seasonal FRA-ORD I would love to see YVR and/or SEA back on the 340 fleet
AF have been making an en-route stop on the way between Bogotá and Paris quite on quite a few ocadsions of late. It has been mostly in Point a Pitre, Guadalupe; but today it's Lisbon. Interesting to see how as AF is approaching LIS, to the north you see another A340 coming from BOG, with the same e...
Jump to postThe job of the FA in the cockpit isn't to restrain the pilot from doing something dumb. It's to open the door. Typical Euro airlines. Cutting safety to save a dollar. Didn't know we took an extra FA on board for the 4 eye rule or where do you see the saving? US carriers are still using the 4 eye pr...
Jump to postIt looks like the Wingtip of the 787 also got some damage!
Wonder how that happened, there must have been be a huge miscalculation by one of the flight crews!
Nicole Kidman (vs) Jannifer Aniston, no match I strongly disagree on this! There was never a need and will never be a need for 3ME carriers! I see the advantage EK had just because being the first and by far biggest for years know slowly going down the hill. DXB airport at night is a mess especiall...
Jump to postI think the CAN flight operated for 4 or 5 years.
Don' t know about your the load factor but thats what the LH told us. Yield and Load factor were directly related to the data of HKG flights!
For LH the situation is similar to the CAN flight which was CXX a couple of years ago. If HKG was full CAN was booked very well now if SFO is full SJC is booked very well if SFO has a lot of open seats there are even more open on the SJC flight. From my knowledge SJC as the lowest avg load factor of...
Jump to postI am very interested in the new Ampera put for sure will skip it if Opel becomes PSA!
PSA quality simply sucks! No way i would buy a "Peugeot" Ampera
I heard some strong Rumors about MUC-GRU being CXX!
MUC-EZE would be a huge surprise.
If possible and I doubt it there would be a Reverser unlocked Acars Message!

Not really domestic but sort of
