Re: Canada Jetlines moves to Miami

I do recall reading a while back that they were having such trouble starting up in Canada they were going to flip flop themselves. They want to operate an Allegiant model ULCC low frequency. In terms of 36th St. Airline, I'm thinking hat refers to some of the carriers based there for a blink and you...

Re: Eastern Airlines applies for domestic scheduled authority, plans JFK-SAN Jun 2020

There’s gotta be more to the story here That schedule is so weird. I wonder if this is a belly freighter operation. Also can I assume the CARES Act does not allow a start up carrier that wasn’t operating previously to get loan money? I figured it must be some sort of freight operation contract that...

Good for B6 for trying to skirt the rather obnoxious requirements of government bailout money. As others have mentioned, AS did it as well. From a little digging I see that F9 is doing MCO-SRQ and probably more. NK has CLE-CMH, AVL-GSO, OAK-SMF, PIT-LBE, STT-STX, among others. If you're going to ha...

I don't see these bookable either. It makes sense to have some stipulations, but the FAA made them somewhat vague and airlines are taking advantage to reduce flying as much as possible. EVERY carrier would just as soon close down because so few people are flying. Originally the FAA was using their F...

They seem to be making a shift to a model more similar to the mainstream U.S. ULCC carriers. Allegiant is the only ULCC still with a large presence at secondary airports. Does anybody know who will operate their flights until the 25th? I was wondering the same thing. My first thought was if I could book a cheap ticket with them before the 26th until I saw that. Maybe Qatar? Plenty of Asian carriers like Cathay with spare planes at the moment if they need wet leases.
