There has been a large number of Portoguese living in Luxembourg since even before Portugal joined the EU so I’m sure there was demand between LUX and LIS but did they have local traffic rights?

I don't have a source but I believe this aircraft was especially expensive because it was purchased as part of a package that included maintenance and upgrades etc for a period of 20 years or so. Maybe cutting their losses now any avoiding the expensive annual payments is the plan?

The only long haul route from PHX is BA to LHR. Seems like a great opportunity for Norwegian, Icelandair, WOW, Thomas Cook/Condor or even one of the legacies.

How much traffic/money does Norwegian get from the US point of sale? I'd imagine they cater much more to the European traveler than the American traveler. AA319 has been on the ground for over 3 hours and passengers are still onboard due to lack of air stairs. Crew called cops to remove a passenger and air stairs were miraculously found.

Wondering how crew timeouts work. I know the limit is 8 hours.... so the crew on AA319 left Boston at 6.20am. Is departure when the 8 hours starts or is it when they enter the cockpit, or some other point?

My girlfriend was enroute from BOS and was diverted to TUS when they were 8 minutes from landing. Now TUS doesn't have the gates to handle arrivals.

Heathrow is owned by a consortium of sovereign wealth funds from China, Qatar, Quebec and Spain. Since ownership rather than physical location determines where an airport is, does that mean that Heathrow is actually in China, Qatar, Quebec and Spin? (Sarcasm)

It's also worth noting that the Bay Area has a population of over 8.5 million and only about 860,000 of them live in the City of San Francisco. Oakland is more convenient to the vast majority of people in the area.

Not only are United, Delta and American currently using the 757, so have Northwest, US Airways and Continental before them. One of the legacies will test the waters with a Boston to Glasgow flight, or something similar.

I think it's likely that there will be a bilateral between the U.K. And the EU, but it's by no means guaranteed. If no agreement is made, there will be no flights.

Customer Service in Dallas have told me there will be new service to Mexico City announced on 10/31. Would not give more details. I'm hoping it's Oakland or LAX. They recently announced OAK-SJD and OAK-PVR so OAK-MEX could be a possibility.

I was booked SFO-SNA-MEX in January. Noticed my reservation is cancelled. Was hoping they moved the flight to LAX, but alas, no. They did not offer to reaccomodate me. Not happy at all.
