Re: Delta plans to emerge a "smaller" carrier

Looks like DL will be taking delivery of 17 new aircraft in September.

6 A220-100

4 A220-300: Will be parked upon delivery

3 A321

2 A330NEO

2 A350

Good news if you ask me. Almost bet these are replacements for the 737-700 and some of the 777s.

This thread is full of so many false narratives and wishful thinking. Re: Delta plans to emerge a "smaller" carrier

With the current state of affairs in the U.S., I sadly expect that Oct. 01 will bring a bloodbath unlike any we have seen. I've got just north of 20 years. I felt secure insofar that my seniority would keep me safe. With the rapid rebound of Covid-19 i'm really not so sure now. I hope that won't be...

Skyliner Aviation has this: https://www.skyliner-aviation.de/regdb.main?LC=nav4&page=2 A7-AMA and A7-AMB to CNF and to Delta in Q3. Three other QR A350s also on the move (A7-AQA/B/C) but listed as not for DL. Q3 2020 is sooner than I expected. But perfect timing for when the 777s retire. The A3...

Re: Rumor: DL to acquire 7 A350’s from QR

Since QR is helping out LATAM and might be a big stakeholder for the post-chapter 11 LATAM, DL might be trying to mend fences with QR so DL can continue their JV with LATAM. And I think DL should make peace with the ME3 airlines. In these days, airlines are more likely to come out in better shape b...

I think if this deal saves American jobs it won't get any pushback. The 62 million to LATAM helps DL in the short term. The rumored deal with QR would help it in the long term when traffic recovers. I think there will be more announcements about fleet simplification in the coming weeks. Now is the t...

Rumor from a reliable source says DL is set to acquire the 7 A350’s QR currently has on order. I’m sure more details will be released in the coming days. Well I can see this coming true. It was announced by ALPA yesterday that DL is looking to permanently park the MD-88/90, 717, 777, and some of the 767 fleet. They need to shed about 3,000 pilot jobs.
