Here come the AA transcon cuts at JFK! DCA BOS 15 daily on a LCC is a ludicrous waste of slots. I'm under the belief that they were bingo fuel on their way into DCA. The line of thunderstorms was fast approaching and over the airport not more than 5 minutes after they landed. If they had enough fuel, surely they would have gone to RIC where they have CBP facilities and extra ramp/gate space.

I fly in and out of BOS quite often (in fact most of the time on the BOS-WAS flights), so I think I will chip in. For Boston departures you will likely depart 22R (see the city on the turn out), 27 (fly over the city), or 9 (won't see the city at all). 15R/33L is rarely used for short haul departure...

Many diversions and what surprised me the most was that WN2130 from OAK-BWI actually diverted to DCA. I can only remember one instance of seeing a flight divert to DCA.
