Any words on the configurations? Still the dreaded 20J (19J in long haul)? Why 19J in long haul? Yes, in many long haul routes, 1 J seat is reserved for pilot rest. So only 19J seats for sale. Our flight is in May 2021. Since there are minor changes, we probably won't know if it's the new or old 788s until we actually board.

AA 2nd Daily DFW-MAD/CDG

This year AA started a second daily flight from DFW to both MAD and CDG. I don't see this second flight in 2020. Is there any talk of AA restarting both of these second flights?

DFW to AMS changed to 777-300

It appears that AA220 on Sunday, August 11 changed to a 777-300 from a 777-200, according to the seat map. This change happened the day before the flight, which seems very unusual for an international flight. I wonder if this is an IT issue? Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Its kinda sucks to see DFW-TLV to only have 3 times a week.... I am surprised its not daily! If this route does as well as I think it will, AA will add additional days. I'm thinking PHL-TLV/CMN/NCE/AGP (maybe not all). I think the only route from DFW would be BCN. I think MEL would be from LAX. There are rumors that Japan would be announced as well, which would be the official announcement of DFW/LAX-HND and aircraft swaps.

I would add PHL-NCE as a possibility. I don't see ORD-DBV happening, but ORD-PRG I could see as a possibility. I think some routes will be affected when the AA/QF JV will be approved.

With Delta 2x, United 1x at Newark and Norwegian starting service July 1st not sure if it would be in AA interest to start JFK-ATH unless they look to dominate that market. I'm interested in 2020 announcements for foreign travel hopefully they release something in August like they have the past two...

All 777s will have Premium Economy by the end of the year. I have traveled in PE. Compared to economy, the seats are wider and you have more legroom. You also get noise cancelling headphones, footrests, amenity kits and better food. You can go on AA.com to see the detailed description of PE.

With long haul destinations being pretty cemented in for 2019, I could see 2020 additions be to make some routes year round or add more seasonal routes. The biggest one I see is DFW-BCN.

I know this should be taken with a grain of salt, but I spoke with a DFW based pilot who flies the DFW-FCO route frequently and he said there are talks of making this route year round due to its performance.

With DUB being announced by AA, I don't see EI coming anymore to DFW. In terms of new international service I could maybe see seasonal service to BCN in a year or so by AA, but beyond that I think Europe is covered.

I think EI is the most likely at this point. I could possibly see LEVEL if they continue to grow. I think there is room for a seasonal BCN service to DFW, but AA will probably jump on that before LEVEL.

Was looking at the DFW-SYD flight yesterday and noticed that after being in the air for only an hour it was being diverted to BNE. I also noticed the same thing happened on Saturday. Does anyone know why these diversions happen, especially with the flight only being in the air for 1 hour?

DFW-FCO/AMS Performance

Both of these routes ended last week, and was seeing if anyone has heard of the performance of each of these routes. I understand that the FCO flight is beginning roughly a month earlier, but haven't heard of the AMS and if they will both be extended into the Fall of 2018.
