apparently, capacity-wise the 748 works quite well for them. percect fit with 365 seats in total.
the "only" burden is probably the fact of 4 engines thus the fuel consumption; however, the 777-9 will be an 1-to-1 replacement.

They really need to get some new aircraft for SN - some of them date back to the Sabena days and drink fuel like there's no tomorrow. flight arrived in EWR around 11.30pm with a delay of more than 2.5hrs.
I assume that all connecting passengers missed their onward flights with UA and have to be reaccommodated on next day departure with hotel overnight at EWR.

how easy (or difficult) is it to be cross-qualified for 777pax and 777freighter operations from pilot perspective?

NRT is surely a good bet for 77W upgauge, but I wouldn't be surprised if they announce one of the two Chinese cities (PVG or PEK). Yes, especially the ones to BEY AMM TLV CAI are usually 321 with higher MTOW, but when you talk about 320-fleet in overall, those are the longest flights (of course, frequency and seasonality aside...)

PC is pushing more and more into the ESB market with direct flights to SAW, AYT, ADB, BJV and ECN (domestically) and VIE, FRA, DUS, EBL, AMM, KBP internationally, just a name a few. With Anadolujet around, this is a lost game for them right from the beginning.

Hard to compare since they don't have the massive feed as TK and PC have. Those flights are usually for O/D demand with some domestic feed.

From July to October, LH will be deploying 333, 343 and 346 aircraft on selected EU/AF selected return flights from FRA (as an upgauge from 321):

- daily to CAI
- VIE (on Mondays)
- DUB (on Wednesdays)
- LIS (Mondays/Tuesdays)

OS is also operating 76W/772 to FRA on selected says.
