I assume TPA isn't great in the yield market and probably why AA doesn't consider it a network advantage one. But a consumer that wants options, a club and an occasional chance for an upgrade it does a nice job.

I am in TPA today, and while not a small city tons of AA flights to way more destinations than DL or UA. It's the same effect as ELP or CID. If I lived here AA wins my business without a doubt.

Yes this was mentioned at the investor day, new large OHB, In seat power, best in class wifi plus new seats. I'd imagine new interior everything.

AA is still contesting the ruling denying the NEA. It is possible that the appeal comes back with some kind of way to allow the NEA or at least a new code share agreement to go forward.

Some of the things I found interesting from the call. They are bringing in more Base Maintenance and Engine overhauls as AA does them cheaper and quicker than venders due to supply chain & employee shortages at the MROs. Also interesting is that AA spends a huge chunk of money on procurement but...

I am not advocating for the government to run a AC MFG. I am advocating they champion the idea offer tax incentives, low interest loans or free land etc to nudge someone forward. In the 2023 year end conference call with the finance community AA mentioned 5% of regionals are parked and the goal for QTR 1 & 2 2024 was to get those back in the air. As for the A321XLR they are 20 BC, 12 PE, and 123 TC. I have not seen a LOPA yet so I don't know the # of MCE seats. In anyway...

I think what all this Boeing mess shows is the world and particularly the US needs another player in the commercial aerospace business. The government should be actively encouraging Space X, Google, MS to consider to start building aircraft and anyone else.

For over a year now AA is not factoring new delivery into the schedule since they just can't count on them. They use them as spares initially.

They are not old but they do not work. So eventually a call will need to be made. You can always get rid of newer aircraft. Obviously nothing is happening in the next few years due to the lack of WB and the 321XLR but 4-5 years from now I could see them being sold unless they find some yet undefined...
