Last week I was on an RJ-85, sat in a window seat, just under the wing. The middle seat next to me was empty and their was a passenger sat in an aisle seat. The presence of the wing means that the overhead bins are smaller. So much so that the passenger in the aisle seat had to put his bag on the fl...Jump to post
A couple of weeks ago I visited Brasil, arriving in Rio De Janeiro Galeao and travelling onto Campinas. I was really disappointed to see that Terminal 1 had effectively closed down and become a domestic pier. The first time I visited Rio De Janeiro Galeao was in 1978. Terminal 1 was one year old and...Jump to post
The LATAM livery has really grown on me. Add that with KLM, DL, TWA final, and WY I think the LATAM livery is okay, but there is too much white. I much prefer the last LAN livery. 4489423 I also think the older LAN livery looked good. 1164926 I hate the new Iberia livery (which I'm travelling on to...Jump to post
I've taken 25 flights on a 757; - Twenty charter flights between the UK and the Mediterranean. - Four domestic flights between NCL and LHR with BA. - One Delta 757-300 flight from MCO to DTW. My first 757 flight was in 1993 and my last was in 2011. Can't believe it has been six years since I have fl...Jump to post
Cathay's first A350 is now out of service to get its business class seats replaced. It flew today from SIN to HKG. This might ...Jump to post
My first wide body flight in 1978 from LHR to GIG. I was five years old and could not believe how big the cabin was. The Varig livery of the time was fantastic and the DC-10 is one of the best looking planes I've seen. I did have another account before this one, something like Transbrasil727, but it...Jump to post
Here goes... 1. Like transferring at LHR (even through different terminals) and AMS (it's really straight forward). 2. Don't like transferring through CDG (just not a fan of the place). 3. Like Dubai airport, but I hate transferring during the middle of the night (which is often the case). 4. Hate t...Jump to post
Why should I purchase an extra meal in the airport, if I've already paid for a meal as part of my flight package? Sounds like BA owes you some meat. Have you contacted customer service about getting a voucher or some type of reimbursement? I might contact them. I was just interested to see what oth...Jump to post
I wouldn't forget any one of them. The VFW-Fokker 614 only had about 13 aircraft in airline operation with Cimber Air, Air Alsace and Touraine Air Transport. It looked a little bit silly, even ugly, with it's over wing mounted engines. But I remember reading about aircraft like this in my teens and ...Jump to post
Even people who love meat don't eat it with every meal. I'm sure this applies to you too. It is very rare that I don't have meat with a main meal. Maybe you can try selecting a seat closer to the front of whatever cabin you're flying? Every airline specifies that your meal choice might not necessar...Jump to post
I don't track aircraft I've flown on FR24, but I do keep an eye on them to see if they have been sold on to a new airline or been scrapped at the end of their lives. Sometimes I end up flying on an aircraft that I've flown on before. In total I've flown 474 flights (which I'd define as a take off an...Jump to post
I flew BA a couple of days ago.. For whatever reason, I ended up being the last person to be served my meal. By which point they had run out of chicken, so the only option left was pasta. The pasta did not contain any meat. According to the steward, BA always provide an equal share of each option. I...Jump to post
That's a pity, I'm flying home on BA206 next week. I have not flown on the A380 yet. I'm sure that when we booked (about September last year) both flights were designated as 744's. We went for the earlier BA206 (departs 17:05) to save waiting around all day for BA208 (departs 20:45). If I'd known i...Jump to post
im guessing you were the only person who misinterpreted the thread title. In this context MIA is Miami... No, I did that too. It's due to the lack of a proposition or verb. The delay is now down to 16 mins.
Maybe like masgniw suggests it is some sort of auto estimate.
The flight is to Florida, not the North East.
I'm travelling to the US with BA on Saturday.
When I looked at their mobile app last night, it said the flight was delayed 25 mins, due to a late arriving aircraft.
This morning it said the delay was now 29 mins.
How do they know that two or three days before departure?

I don't particularly dislike the United States.
