Re: Is DL taking delivery of A350’s from NRT to avoid tariffs?

Delta is currently taking delivery of an A350 N514DN the plane is flying now (DL9975) you’d expect this to go from TLS to ATL right? No, it’s going to NRT instead. This seems very unusual and uneconomical unless there’s a benefit for DL, is this a way to get around the tariffs or is there a genuine...

Aircraft is N1217A, a 26 year old 767 freighter operated by Atlas for Amazon Amazon Cargo is not a good employer so far. Pilots have to work extra-long hours for a relatively less pay. So this is eventually bound to happen. And the airline is struggling to hold on to their current pilots and to bri...

Why did they repaint it white, seems like a waste of money? Even if this one is leased and the owner wants it white, you would think Emirates would split the savings of not having to repaint it with the owner and they would gladly accept since there is a 99.99% chance this aircraft gets scrapped. Most Complicated Livery?

As I was admiring the A380 Honu(s) of ANA, I realized that it must be a complicated process for the Airbus paint team to paint the plane, given the complicated livery. I thought of the same when I saw Etihad's livery on A380. So that brought up this question in my mind, what are some of the most com...

Re: What could a Potential A220-500/700/900 look like?

Does it matter that an A220-500 would eat into A320 sales? Presumably it would eat into 737 sales too. Airbus can't build A320s fast enough and there is still plenty of scope for ramping up A220 production. Over time you could imagine focussing the A320 series on 180-250 seats and A220 on 120-180 s...

Re: Air India 788 DEL-IAD nonstop?

AI 103/4 was on the 77W and not 77L. DEL-EWR (Afternoon departure from delhi) would be better than AMD-EWR. AI used to operate a 77W on AMD-BOM-EWR but now uses an A320 for the AMD-BOM sector. So that is a capacity loss of 4F/25J/65Y(105Y if 40 seats are blocked). What was the LF with 77W on DEL-IA...

Re: Air India 788 DEL-IAD nonstop?

VT-AND completed AI104 in 12hr54min. Not bad for a overweight parts plane. If these birds are capable, AI should try AMD-EWR on 787, that should capture more non-stop traffic and free up LHR slots. AMD has SIGNIFICANT traffic to UK, more than USA. Plus, any pax to USA can either be flown in via BOM...

My SUPER SUPER Optimistic guess will be Indigo Airline of India. They have a habit of ordering 100+ planes (narrowbody ofcourse) and they have been looking to go international for a while now. While ordering 40 at a go will be bit risky move, if anyone can pull it off, it will be Indigo. It will be ...
