Cheers all,

Took it back this afternoon actually and managed top show them the lines on a shot taken instore. They agreed to swap it (only 3 weeks old) but hadn't got any stock! Short drive tomorrow to a local branch and should be able to get it sorted though.

These were taken with the 100-400mm, the shot below with the 24-105mm both bought at the same time as the camera (insurance replacements), so appears not to be the lens. Wouldn't bother sending it to Nikon, cost to repair it will be more than the camera is worth, I see the cost of repairs on a daily basis and they aren't pleasant, trust me. The bottom 3 are all from the southside, further down the runway to where the first one was taken.

Its a bit tricky to get to and you'll definately need a car. Can try to explain the way if anyone wants it?

Higher megapixel isn't neccessarily a better camera no. I'd have a 4MP Canon ahead of a 10MP Polaroid anyday! Try http://www.parkcameras.com/ they usually have good stock of the pro stuff and have never let me down.

You could also try a price match at Jessops, although they will probably take even longer to get the lens in!
