A few comments: For a true hub to work at SJU, connections would have to be possible without going through US Customs. Nah. The SJU hub didn't rely on international to international connections. Isn’t Gulf Shores mostly a regional destination that people drive to? I’m not sure that it’s much of air travel market. Even PNS has limited destinations and is highly seasonal.

You have to wonder how much longer AA can hang on to the hublet at JFK. JFK BOS dropping down to .8 for June. Geez Not sure why they that at all. Flights from the USVI to the states or PR have to clear customs before boarding. When preclearance is closed, they’re an international arrival. Same with Guam to Hawaii. Not that strange for this time of year. Flew 2 weeks ago on a flight was maybe 30% full? November is definitely one of the slower travel times of the year.

It was a shuttle for Ford and Chrysler for years, but then Ford sold off their UK assets to Tata and Daimler sold off Chrysler. When the J seats stopped being full, BA dropped it.
