What do you guys think? Certainly a possibility. I IIRC though, JQ's announcement at the time I think stated that the A321LRs are focused mostly on the East Coast-Bali runs, with perhaps either domestic or Pacific Island runs in-between to maximise utilisation. With 18 A321LRs on order I think it’s...Jump to post
AKL Spotters Alert - There’s a QF B744 operating a SYD-AKL-SYD rotation tomorrow in lieu of an A330.

Does anyone know what the routing of that Air Canada B767 was?
Awesome blast from the past! Brings back so many memories. I loved the SQ 744s and travelled so much back then I logged just about every single one (except SPK).Jump to post
The mentour video mentions the pilot did a PA after the incident. Is there a video of that floating around that I have missed? The main one from inside the cabin cuts out before any PA.Jump to post
Really good stuff thanks for posting!!Jump to post
I’ve read the thread but can’t find a clear answer as to which airlines will use the new airport. Is it just some OW, all of ST and some others? Star will stay in the old airport.Jump to post
I am quite certain Qantas do this on their weekday peak time SYD MEL flights, although i have no evidence to back this up. Almost every day they seem to cancel and combine 1-2 such flights. It’s not a huge deal as they operate every 15-30 minutes although it means losing pre assigned seats.Jump to post
Has 24-7 ops and no curfew actually been confirmed? I thought it still up for negotiation.Jump to post
Flightradar24 data on 10 July does not support the flight dropping to 10k feet and then reclimbing.Jump to post

I generally don't like long haul flights that arrive at 6am. I can't sleep well on planes and you end up having a whole day feeling crap. Plus you often can't get your hotel room before 2pm so you gamble they allow early check in or not. I prefer to arrive late afternoon, have some dinner, get some ...Jump to post

I agree with your comments on Garuda's J class. I flew SYD-DPS on the new a330. On board product is spectacular in every respect, hard and soft product. However the ground situation is terrible in DPS. The lounge is horrible, and like you, we had a delay of 60+minutes with no announcements and terri...Jump to post

Anyone want to take a stab at how the schedule would look? Including how the aircraft will get back to SYD/MEL.Jump to post
Hopefully the flights will start out at SYD to allow SYD-PER on the 788. Would definitely give that a go. However: I wonder if they will target people out of SYD and MEL with these services, or is it better to keep these folks on QF1/9, and target PER and ADL where existing traffic is pretty much al...Jump to post
Fantastic report. I remember a few years ago connecting domestic to domestic at BOM. Had about 90 minutes. But we actually landed at the international terminal and got bussed to domestic... Which took forever. We made it by the skin of our teeth but only after skipping to front of queues. A nightmar...Jump to post

Good report thank you for posting. Good photos. I actually did not know they were doing this route.
I tend to agree with the other posters, for the price I thinks the experience is not too bad. The seat is what o really care about.
Big thumbs up to the new site design. Looking excellent now. Good work.Jump to post

I wonder if we might start to see airlines being required to adopt destination country rules around fatigue and rest. Particularly if we start to see any trend of pilot error crashes from Middle East airlines, which will undoubtedly be attributed to fatigue in light of current events. I could see Eu...Jump to post
