Re: HiFly takes delivery of first A380

LX operates ZRH-MIA twice per day with A333 - a total of 14 per week. Compared to the benchmark (e.g. LH at FRA and MUC 11, AF 6, KLM 3, AA at CDG 7) i find that‘s quite impressive (though I don‘t know their SLF). The next 2 B773 arrive in 2020. But I guess that‘s only a funny rumour ;) Impressive,...

Re: HiFly takes delivery of first A380

Seems strange to me ZRH - MIA has such a high occupancy that justifies one A380 flight a week... I don't even think their A333s got full... If yes, why not shifting to 77Ws on that route? LX operates ZRH-MIA twice per day with A333 - a total of 14 per week. Compared to the benchmark (e.g. LH at FRA...

Re: Next Lufthansa Group longhaul destinations

If LH's FRA-MEX and MUC-MEX continue to have healthy loads and generate good profits, perhaps we could see LX launch ZRH-MEX? As mentioned above, the size of LX's widebody fleet could be an issue, but it would be great to have a nonstop connection between MEX and ZRH. LX: Two additional B77W will s...

Does the CS-300 qualify in the Regional Jet category? If yes, how about Air Baltic's routes from Riga down to the UAE or Swiss' over-night trip fro Zurich to Cairo? Well, the CS300 is mainly thought of as/designed as a 737-7 MAX competitor or a A319 competitor, so no. Nevertheless these medium haul...

The only way to see LX expand significantly in ZRH would be adding a 5th bank. The current 4 bank scheme is quite full on the peaks. The airport has not much more room on those times. LX 333's being rather young and the remaining 6-7 343's about to get the new interior, I'm almost certain that the 2 ordered 77W's will be for expansion. Probably NRT and/or JNB go all 77W whereas the freed up 343 can open a new destination. In my opinion ICN is very strong up there, followed by YY...

The CS300 has 145 seats (swiss version with ˋeuro biz´). You operate with 2 pilots and only 3 CCM cheaply. The aircraft is economic, ecologic and has a nice look and feel haptic for pax and crew.
