You start to see performance penalties when the temperature hits 95F/97F or 35C/36C, at those temps you are holding off at least 3,000 LBS of cargo if not more. Then there are days when UA has had to jettison all the cargo out of SYD but only when the temperature exceeds 105F or 107F / 40C or 41.6C...

Originally we were told MCAS was put put on to make the plane feel like an ng would during certain cg/weight/speed parameters. If so why not just have the elevator feel computer just make the controls heavier. Or place strakes under the tail?

Ge is a higher thrust engine for better short field performance. Nrt-ewr is a prime example. The 200s were weight limited until The 90 were updated to the 94b engine mod and are now able to max out the cargo

There is no “certified” range. There is a range stated that the plane can fly with a given load. Merely an indication. Arrested, held for a few hours and released. No charges yet. If he is found to not exceed limits then I expect a full apology for releasing his name. I’m sure that would happen... carrying an empty bottle is not proof of anything, and smells are not anything but a step in discovery.
