In the strictest definition of reengineing, Caravelles were reengined with the several different Avon models fitted, with a couple different JT8D versions, and even the CJ805-23 - the aft fan version the J79 turbojet - on one Caravelle.

What is amazing to me is that those attempting to cope a free ride in the wheel well area is that they aren't crushed during the gear retraction sequences. Also, the opening and closing of the gear doors would make it precarious to hang on as those move both during the gear up and down movements.

From the above photos appearances, this was a good landing. You can always fix bent metal, but ...
