Not really referb related, but a 75C has been chartered by the Rolling Stones for their tour, and a Rolling Stones decal has been applied under the Delta titles.

N650DL is the reg, it took the Atlanta Braves to MDW following their game in IAD, and turned back to EWR with Jagger and crew in tow.

It already has STC, that's why it's been in CAN for so long. Just 2 days worth of FDA inspections and it's good to go.

I bet it will be back flying. If the Pylon was removed, it might have been removed to be sent to a shop to be repaired. As for Fuel and Hyd lines, that's not a big deal. We replace them quite a bit. But if there were damage around where the Fuel and Hyd lines sit in the pylon, that could have cause...

Damage was more extensive than expected (fuel and hydraulic lines) and was bought by DL's insurance company. Both engines currently removed. Sounds like a write-off. It's any airplanes with Rockwell Collins GPS installed. It includes all CRJs and A220s. DL had issues with some 739s and 757s, and HA had some issues on their 717s.

I believe only the bombardier aircraft can operate with a MEL.

DL had at least one diversion SJC-ATL that went to MEM because of it.

971 was supposed to retire today. Hasn't flown since yesterday but haven't seen a ferry to SBD/BYH per usual. Apparently, 971 is in for a check so it can cover for 977, which had a collision with a tug and is being written off. I had a feeling that plane would be a write-off, thanks for the update....

I'll take the over on your 717 retirement estimate of 2020 or 2021. DL is spending too much to replace MD-88s, MD-90s and 767s, and will be spending too much to replace the oldest 320s and oldest 757s (and funding some modest seat growth) to be retiring 717s in any significant quantity before 2024....
