Re: Airline employee stalks female passenger

How do you all know she decided to keep getting the texts? Have you ever been stalked? I have. It brings out a lot extra. And before you ask. I could sue over it but I have been through enough and hopefully it is done. There are so many things that can get into a person’s mind. What if it is a pilot...

Re: De-Icing in the dry

The fuel in the wings gets cold soaked while flying and when the plane is on the ground moisture can freeze to the upper surface of the wings.

I think SFO and LAX are new. I don’t remember seeing those before. Maybe some SFO prior.

ORD and DEN have been seeing steady increases in capacity each summer.

Why is ORD-BZN an interesting note? UA ran increased ORD flights to Montana last summer with a lot of mainline. I think most of the summer UA Montana adds called out with stars in this thread are actually regular seasonal resumptions (except perhaps LAX-FCA, which I think is actually new). The LAX ...

Why is ORD-BZN an interesting note? UA ran increased ORD flights to Montana last summer with a lot of mainline. BZN is starting to see Skywest jets for AS from SEA. I don’t know if this has been covered but I saw an Elite Air SEA-GTF and didn’t know if they were subbing for Alaska or that was a one ...

Re: airlines weighing passengers ?

Maybe all this based on bmi plus luggage would be more of a ‘fair’ fare. You could exptrapolate extra data sets. I am tall and not overweight. I have a bad neck and I still need to fit in between larger people, I have to take shorter steps in crowds, I hit my head all the time and I am asked to get ...

Re: Some ads hijacking iOS browser?

Ironically my ios was hijacked by one of these ads when I was looking for a thread about this. I keep trying to keep an eye for the offending add but when I forget is when it happens. It has happened to me several times today (like over half a dozen.) I will try to get a screen shot. I have also had...

How come you don't trust the countless people who strive to make your journey a safe one? Please don't get me wrong. I get anxious in large crowds but I repeat to myself that any one of these people could save my life if needed to help myself calm down. I have gotten more aware of the what-ifs as I ...

That hose looks way too large to be from an air start unit and looks more like conditioned air to me.

Re: Horizon Q400 Repaints

I'm hoping that some of those longer haul Q400 routes will become E-175's. Remember that OO only has 15 E-175's with AS. QX has at least 30 on order. I am hoping SEA-RNO, PDX-OAK and SEA/PDX-STS eventually become E-175 routes. I'm also holding out hope that there will be new routes like SEA-MRY and...

I thought I had read some where that turboprops do not leave contrails. They seem very rare to see but I have seen Q400s with contrails a few times and I think a Commander or something. I have some iPhone photos and a couple up close that are buried somewhere in my mess of photos. Is the lower altit...

Re: Cessna Caravan and FedEX

If the Caravans only make short flights, do they make many of them in the same day ? Our flights are one round trip per day usually. In our neck of the woods it is an evening run from our outstation MSO to the GTF-MEM larger aircraft and a return in the morning. This allows the high priority shipme...

Re: Cessna Caravan and FedEX

I have a couple of questions related to this. At FedEx Feeder, the next aircraft up in size from the Caravan is the ATR-42, right? How much of a jump up in size is that? I'm thinking of San Diego, which I think has three Caravan flights arriving in the space of half an hour each evening from El Cen...
