Do not feel guilty about this for one minute. You worked in your current role for about 15 months. For an entry level position and a young person, this is exactly the time when folks start looking at other options. No one expected you to stay in the job for much longer than 15 months and if you did ...

Next time fly Southwest, they do not have annoying policies like this. Plans change, just cancel and rebook, no fuss. My AA hell story is getting force downgraded out of revenue first class. Then being required to pay a baggage check fee. Having to request a refund because I guess they thought I wou...
Jump to postI believe Harley Davidson already has factories overseas so they are moving production to an existing facility. Boeing doesn't have final assembly factories in Europe or China so this would be a much more difficult task.

Besides, most 737's have aboutt 12 - 18 first class seats. It isn't really a Boeing or Airbus issue. It is the airline squeezing in more and more seats. It...

If you go to a restaurant and order steak, the waiter tells you they are out of steak so you order chicken instead, you don’t expect to be charged for steak.
Jump to postTo be clear American is the offender here. I'm not sure that's the right way to look at it. Most people recall that the DL/AA interlining agreement ended when DL demanded a premium based on their analysis that AA sent more passengers to DL than DL sent to AA. In the past week we've had two unique t...
Jump to postYes, the original flight was delayed and we would miss connect at DFW. There were no other first class seats so they flipped us to Delta in coach. This morning I was “force downgrade”out of a revenue first class ticket on American. I ended up on Delta in coach. How does American determine if I am due a refund and how much?

Jump to postI wonder if this will impact the QR and Airbus relationship going forward. Do you think Airbus will respond to the next QR RFP or just not be bothered? Boeing could jack up their price if Airbus decides to stop dealing with QR.

You can put up to 17,500 in a 401k. Bump those numbers up and then roll over when you change jobs. Never withdrawl from a 401k unless life and limb is in damager.

Sounds like a toilet on a cruise ship, except the button to flush is behind the toilet seat cover. Thus you have to close the cover to flush.

Jump to postCX does a significant business in the US. Is it inappropriate to ask them to abide by US tax law for the US citizens they employ?
I suspect this happening because the pilots were not always reporting all of their income and thus engaging in illegal tax evasion.

This is normal withholding for US income tax. If you don't believe this income should be taxable that is a different issue. If you are going to pay income taxes, IRS requires withholding out of each pay check. I don't see how this is controversial. The other option is for the pilots to complete a qu...
