They need to add cameras to the wing tips as well..should help in avoiding collisions like this in the future.

Are they going to fix the 777 at Lagos or will they do some temp repairs and fly it out to some other place for repairs?

I notice that they scrapped the 747 with the landing gear still on it. I thought plane was put up on blocks first,, landing gear removed and then plane scrapped

Does this mean that landing gear is not viable anymore or they don't have the right equipment to remove the landing gear before scrapping?

What about hosing the brakes down with cold water for quicker cool down...or even using a fire engine to come to a remote stand to spray water to cool them down? Beats having to go back to the gates for brake cooling?

Is the body gear steering applicable for the push backs as well? is it why the the tug pushes the aircraft for some distance even after the aircraft is lined up with the taxi way lines..to get the body gear lined up as well?
