Re: UK to leave European Aviation Safety Agency

Good riddance. The UK CAA was always full of itself and considered itself god´s (or the Queen´s ) gift to aviation. Quite a few of the “complications” introduced into JAA/EASA regulations were carried over from the UK. Now perhaps things can be rationalized and simplified in the EASA environment on...

A much-needed evolution (revolution?) for one of the finest full-service carriers not to have a widebody fleet. Re: Tunisiar to lose LHR slots

Apparently Tunisair has lost 6 of 8 slots at LHR and 2 of 6 at LGW. So there will be ablt to fly to Heathrow once a week and Gatwick twice a week. So to me it doesn't make sense to continue operating to LGW and LHR. They should relocate to STN or LTN. A bit off topic but easyJet and Nouvelair will s...

You can't lease out or sell slots until you have earned grandfather rights to them, so Norwegian are basically in a position where they have to fly these if they want to do anything. The slots have been allocated from the pool, and so Norwegian have not had to pay for them. Every year, there's a ve...
