Well if you are into the DXing on <acronym title="Shanghai Airlines (China)">FM</acronym>, you could get a Icom 706 with a roof top antenna and do some Dxing on 6 meters (50MHz). A beam antenna works great for DXing on 2 meters (144 MHz). I would recommend staying away from ebay on getting ham equip...
