I would also say that the engines wont be as easy as that to get rid of as people think. Only the inboard engines have the hydraulic system for reverse thrust, so anyone that needed a new motor, would effectively have to buy them in pairs or full sets.

People are not bothered these days about the service they receive when its up against the cost factor in life. Cost is the overall factor. People will argue about the service they receive, but I can say that I have had better service on an Ryanair flight than with BA. Look at from this point of view...

I have heard rumours that the Lufthansa 787 Whitetails will be arriving as a demonstration to others that whitetails are availabe and that Boeing can have them available for airlines should they need/want them.

It is now likely that the first 787 delivery will not be made until Mid/Late December due to the issues which have been identified by Boeing. No, Newquay is for summer only, November is now out of season and there will be little to no holiday traffic going there. I believe there is still some flights from MAN, LBA, EDI and a few others, but otherwise your options are now Car or Train. Either way, you are looking at 5+ hours of travelling....

I am lead to believe that they will be coming with the Vistara Business Class, Reverse Herringbone.

They were already installed on the 3 Vistara aircraft which they are taking. Perhaps they will be taking the Vantage XL on the other two ex-Hainan.Suparna frames

They will go on LHR/CDG/FRA, there is no way that they will go down to Australia.

Could this be a little like the Lufthansa situation, where they are merely only really bringing it back for first class, since as no other aircraft in their fleet has it? Just a thought.

These aircraft were terrible when they were in the skies and literally have no value to fly again. They were the highest empty weight 777's, with the first suites, granite galleys etc. The engines weren't much better, no bump rating and would struggle to pull the skin off rice pudding on a hot day! ...

Yes, the initial 4 of the 20 aircraft they ordered in 2019 will be White-Tail aircraft.

I guess they have plenty sitting on the ground. They will have gotten a good price on them I would imagine.

The 5 you mention with GE Engines are certainly going to LH
