As awesome as the sound is in this video, it immediately makes me think "what if it hit the plane"? Does anyone know how common these balloons are? I would think a collision would pose greater risk than any bird. Of course there arent many birds at cruise alt.

I used to fly often from EWR to IAH on CO 762 in the mid 2000s. I loved the aircraft but remember that they didnt carry a lot of passengers. I believe the 757s had more seats.
